Build the Bayesian copilot for clinical trials.

Aomics GmbH builds Adaptrials — the Bayesian decision copilot for adaptive clinical trials. We are a small, statistically rigorous team looking for biostatisticians and clinical SAS/R programmers.

Open positions

Hybrid in Königstein im Taunus; some roles can be remote (Germany/EU). We welcome applicants of every background and treat all candidates equally. Please apply with a short note and a CV to contact@aomics.com.

Senior Biostatistician — Adaptive Trial Design

Königstein im Taunus, Germany (hybrid) · Remote EU considered

Own the statistical methodology behind Adaptrials — priors, estimands, operating characteristics — and guide sponsors through adaptive Phase II/III designs that pass reviewer scrutiny.

What you'll do

  • Design and simulate adaptive and Bayesian clinical trials (adaptive randomization, group sequential, sample-size re-estimation).
  • Lead prior-elicitation workshops with sponsor biometrics teams.
  • Translate ICH E9(R1) estimands into analysis models and TLF specifications.
  • Represent the statistical framework to regulators (FDA Type C / EOP2 / EMA).

What we look for

  • MSc/PhD in biostatistics, statistics or equivalent; 5+ years in clinical trial statistics.
  • Deep experience with Bayesian methods, Monte-Carlo simulation and adaptive designs.
  • Fluent in R and/or Python; working knowledge of SAS for validation.
  • Prior FDA or EMA interaction experience is a strong plus.

Clinical SAS Programmer (ADaM/SDTM)

Königstein im Taunus, Germany (hybrid) · Remote considered

Build the ADaM and SDTM datasets, define.xml and TLFs that our adaptive toolbox generates — with the rigour a regulator expects.

What you'll do

  • Develop and validate ADaM v1.3 and SDTM datasets with Pinnacle 21.
  • Generate define.xml (2.1) and submission-ready analysis datasets.
  • Produce TLFs for interim looks from the Bayesian engine to output.
  • Maintain a reusable, traceable library of validated macros.

What we look for

  • 3+ years clinical SAS and CDISC (SDTM/ADaM) experience.
  • Working knowledge of Pinnacle 21 and define.xml.
  • Attention to data integrity and version-control discipline.

R/Python Statistician-Programmer (Bayesian)

Remote (Germany / EU)

Own the R/Python statistical layer — priors, Markov chains, Quarto output — behind Adaptrials. Rigour and reproducibility come first.

What you'll do

  • Implement and test Bayesian models (Stan, JAGS, INLA) for adaptive designs.
  • Build reproducible Quarto notebooks per interim look.
  • Expose results through a typed analysis API.
  • Pair with biostatisticians on prior-elicitation workflows.

What we look for

  • Strong R or Python, plus experience with Bayesian inference and MCMC diagnostics.
  • Comfort with git-based reproducibility and test-driven development.
  • A statistical-graphics eye for clean reviewer-facing output.

What you'll do

  • Maintain a versioned library of validated SAS/R macros for our designs.
  • Automate checks against Pinnacle 21 and internal style standards.
  • Write unit tests protecting algorithms at gold reference values.
  • Document every macro and ship unambiguous change notes.

What we look for

  • Expert SAS macro and R package/module experience.
  • Experience with clinical validation and versioned release processes.
  • Careful, reproducible, single-source-of-truth habits.
